Tech rallies on flat Monday
			    	    Stocks in Toronto and New York saw little movement either way to begin the week, though the Mag 7 continued to rise. Nvidia rallied another 2.17% and Amazon jumped 4% to lead the Nasdaq 0.46% higher. Meanwhile, the S&P increased 11 points and the Dow sank 0.48%. The TSX gained 14 points after a choppy start. Also making headlines on Wall Street was Kimberly-Clark (-14.57%) buying Tylenol-maker Kenvue (12.32%). Otherwise, the U.S. 10-year yield remained at 4.1% while Bitcoin slid 2.85% to US$106,830.
Canadian sectors were mixed as discretionary led and healthcare and real estate lagged the most. Major movers on Bay Street included Capital Power surging 3.65%, Energy Fuels plunging 14.86% and Discovery Silver falling 4.95%. Banks enjoyed a strong session as CIBC rose 1.4% and National Bank climbed 0.96% to a new closing high. WTI was flat at US$61 and likewise gold held at US$4,002.
